About Us The O'Neill Community Foundation was established in 1998 for the purpose of receiving, administering and disbursing funds for community betterment. The O'Neill Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Nebraska Community Foundation. This enables the Foundation to insure that your gifts are fully tax deductible under the I.R.S. Your contributions to the Foundation can be used for specific purposes or gifted to the Foundation with the disbursement of proceeds to be determined by the local foundation advisory committee. It is the responsibility of the advisory committee to insure that the proceeds from the Foundation are invested back into the community in a prudent and accountable manner. By continuing to build assets of the Foundation and using only the interest or investment return for projects, the Foundation can continue to grow its base. As its assets grow, so does the amount of money that can be used to fund community betterment projects in the O'Neill community.
