Bright Horizons in O’Neill received a grant from the O’Neill Community Foundation to assist in making improvements to their new office space.

Bright Horizons recently purchased the office at 119 N. 4th St. with a grant from the Sherwood Foundation and a large donation from an anonymous donor.

The O'Neill Community Foundation funds will allow them to install signage so that survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault know where they are located. It will also allow them to install a kitchenette for staff and client usage.

According to Bright Horizons Executive Director Linda Olson, “Bright Horizons is almost 100% grant funded and most grants do not allow capital purchases, signage, or renovations. We are very blessed to be able to make these improvements to an office that we were able to purchase. These funds will help provide a comfortable space to meet with clients.”

Bright Horizons has been a part of the O'Neill community for 28 years and this gives them a permanent location to provide services to families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. They also were recently awarded funding through HUD to increase the housing options that they can offer to families.

The O’Neill Community Foundation strives to enrich the quality of life in the O'Neill area both today and in the future. To learn more about the many local organizations that have benefited from the O’Neill Community Foundation or to donate, visit www.oneillcommunityfoundation.org
